To Import Cable Voltage Levels

The Options dialog allows you to import your existing cable voltage levels into the current project.
  1. Select Options from either of the following locations:
    • Manage > Options
    • File > Options (Backstage page)
  2. Click the Cable Data > Cable Voltage Levels tab.
  3. Click the Browse icon next to the Cable list XLS file field.
  4. In the dialog, navigate to the *.XLS file containing the cable list to import and click Open.
  5. Next, click the Browse icon next to the Cable list XML file field.
    Note: When you import an XLS file with a predefined cable list, you will need to specify a XML file which will define how BRCM reads and implements the settings in the XLS file.
  6. Navigate to the *.XML file and click Open.
  7. Click the Configure icon next to the Cable type XML file field.
  8. In the Configure dialog, map the fields to the corresponding columns in the *.XLS file.
    Note: You will need to have both files open to do this.
  9. Make sure the Start row and End row values correspond to the *.XLS file as well.
  10. Once you have mapped the desired fields, click Save to return to the Options dialog.
  11. Click Load to load the cable list files.
  12. The imported voltage levels will display in the New Voltage Level list at the bottom left.
  13. Select the voltages from the list and click the Import icon to add them to the project.
  14. Click OK save the changes.
